config bgp local-preference

config bgp local-preference <number>
Description
Changes the default local preference attribute.
Syntax Description
number
Default
100.
Usage Guidelines
The range is 0 to 2,147,483,647.
BGP selects routes based on the following precedence (from highest to lowest):
• higher weight
• higher local preference
• shortest length (shortest AS path)
• lowest origin code
• lowest MED
• route from external peer
• lowest cost to Next Hop
• lowest routerID
Example
The following command changes the default local preference attribute to 500:
config bgp local-preference 500

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 6.1.
Platform Availability
This command is available on all "i" series platforms.

routers within the AS.
