BGP Commands

config bgp neighbor timer

config bgp neighbor [<ip address> | all] timer keep-alive <keepalive>
hold-time <holdtime>
Description
Configures the BGP neighbor timers.
Syntax Description
ip address
all
keepalive
holdtime
Default
The default keepalive setting is 60 seconds. The default hold time is 180 seconds.
Usage Guidelines
None.
Example
The following command configures the BGP neighbor timers:
config bgp neighbor 192.168.1.5 timer keep-alive 120 hold-time 360

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 6.1.
Platform Availability
This command is available on all "i" series platforms.

Specifies all neighbors.
Specifies a BGP neighbor timer keepalive time in seconds. The range is 0 to
21,845 seconds.
Specifies a BGP neighbor timer hold time in seconds. The range is 3 to
65,535 seconds.
