config bgp peer-group <peer group> weight <number>
Description
Configures the weight for the peer group and all the neighbors of the peer group.
Syntax Description
peer group
number
Default
N/A.
Usage Guidelines
BGP selects routes based on the following precedence (from highest to lowest):
• weight
• local preference
• shortest length (shortest AS path)
• lowest origin code
• lowest MED
• route from external peer
• lowest cost to Next Hop
• lowest routerID
Example
The following command configures the weight for the peer group external and its neighbors:
config bgp peer-group external weight 5
