Wireless Commands
In addition to traditional wired devices, the switch supports the Altitude 300 wireless port, third party
access points, and devices that rely on Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Command Support for Virtual Ports
All ExtremeWare wireless commands support virtual ports, which are used with the Remote Connect
feature (see Chapter 26). Virtual port numbers can range from 1 to 48; however, a maximum of 24
virtual ports can be configured at one time on a Summit 300-48 switch. Virtual ports are accommodated
in the ExtremeWare CLI using the following convention for the <port> variable, where n is the port
number:
