Set [EdgeTracks].
Note
When the AreaTracks function is turned ON, the
EdgeTracks function automatically turns OFF.

Set [Edge 1 track width], [Edge 2 track
width], [Edge 3 track width], [Edge 4 track
width].
The track width can be automatically set by
clicking [Automatic edge track width setting].

Click [Area Teach].
Sets the track areas of edges detected when
Area Teach is executed.

Important
• The track area can be set for a maximum of 4 surfaces within the measurement area.
• Exposure control mode: During automatic control, light adjustment is performed for the measurement surfaces that
exist within the measurement areas. The EdgeTracks function is not applied.
• Measurement surface: When set to peak, the measurement surface with the highest amount of received light is
selected from among all measurement areas.
Select either Edge1/Edge2/Edge3/Edge4 to use the EdgeTracks function.
• With ZW-7000@/5000@, this function is not available.
• If the following conditions occur when Area Teach is executed, an Area Teach error occurs.
- When no surfaces are detected
- When there are duplicate track areas
• If the following conditions occur after Area Teach is executed, the measurement value for each track area becomes
the clamp value.
- When multiple surfaces are detected in one track area
• If the following conditions occur after Area Teach is executed, a track area error occurs and the measurement value
becomes the clamp value until Area Teach is executed again. Execute Area Teach again to recover the track areas.
