DR018: Manually Clean Drive

Problem:
A drive has reported that it requires cleaning. This problem should be addressed differently based on your system
setup.
Troubleshooting Steps:
There are two cases to consider:
1. Library controlled or host controlled cleaning is enabled. When this problem is reported, the cleaning process
should have already been triggered if there was a valid, not expired cleaning cartridge available. Normally you
can close this problem and consider it as notification that a cleaning cycle of a cartridge has been consumed.
Cleaning cartridges have a limited number of useful cycles. Consult the user information you received with your
cleaning cartridge for specific cycle life information.
2. No automatic cleaning is enabled. The drive is in a state where it requires cleaning and can not be used for
normal operations again until it is cleaned. The library provides a user prompted cleaning function where a
cleaning cartridge can be imported into the library to perform a one-time clean operation. Consult your user
documentation for instructions on how to perform a one-time clean operation or how to enable automatic
cleaning on the library.

DR019: Door Open Diagnostic

Problem:
One of the library's main Access Doors has been opened.
There are two basic scenarios to recover from:
1. Door open DID NOT interrupt a library MOVE MEDIA.
2. Door open DID interrupt a library MOVE MEDIA.
Resolutions:
1. Door open DID NOT interrupt a library MOVE MEDIA.
If the door opening was planned and performed when the Picker was idle, recovery consists of simply closing
the door. The library will re-inventory and trigger back up applications to resynchronize inventory.
2. Door open DID interrupt a library MOVE MEDIA.
If the door opening was not planned, MOVE MEDIA operations may have been interrupted. Check back up
applications to make sure that no jobs have been interrupted. Follow the Resolve instructions for any other
problems.

DR020: Re-inventory the Library

Problem:
The library has encountered a problem that indicates a mismatch between library inventory and host application
inventory. A re-inventory of the library is required.
Troubleshooting Step:
Check for unlabeled media or media with a damaged label.
To trigger an inventory of the library, open and close one of the bulk load doors (Access Doors). The library will
automatically notify host applications that the inventory status of the library has changed and host applications
should synchronize to the new library inventory.
