Testing the Hydraulic Solenoid Valve Coils (continued)
Electrical System: Testing the Electrical Components
B. The coils of solenoid valves SV1 and SV2 on the optional auxiliary
hydraulic valve manifold are the same. Resistance of these coils should
be approximately 7.1 ohms when tested at 20° C (68° F).
3. Replace solenoid valve coils if necessary:
A. Remove the nut from the hydraulic valve.
B. Slide the solenoid coil from the valve.
C. Clean any corrosion or dirt from the valve stem.
D. Install the coil and the nut onto the valve and tighten nut to 7 N∙m (60
in-lb).
4. If the solenoid coil resistance is correct and a circuit problem still exists,
check the wire harness; refer to
5. After testing is completed, connect the wire harness connector to the
solenoid coil.
