Connecting a terminal
A maintenance terminal is required to access the Call Servers during the
upgrade procedure.

Connect a terminal to the COM 1 port on the faceplate of the CP PII or
CP PIV card of the inactive Call Server.

The settings for the terminal are:
a.
Terminal type: VT100
b.
9600 Baud
c.
Data bits: 7
d.
Parity: odd
e.
Stop bits: 1
f.
Flow control: none
Note: If the telnet session is set to 7 odd 1 versus 8 none 1,the system
messages generate before the INI prints, otherwise a portion of the
database conversion reference of lost TN's does not appear.
Printing site data
Print site data to preserve a record of the system configuration (Table 17 on
page
134). Verify that all information is correct. Make corrections as
necessary.
