• Remove the thrust washer
• Remove the oil pump drive gear
gear assembly .
OIL PUMP
• Remove the snap ring .
• Remove the oil pump driven gear .
NOTE:
Do not drop the snap ring  into the crankcase.
• Remove the pin  and washer .
• Remove the oil pump .
NOTE:
Do not drop the pin  and washer  into the crankcase.
GEARSHIFT SYSTEM
• With the snap ring  and washer removed, remove the gear-
shift shaft assembly .
• Remove the gearshift cam plate bolt  and gearshift cam
plate .
• Remove the gearshift cam stopper .
