INSTALLATION
Install the handlebars in the reverse order of removal. Pay atten-
tion to the following points:
• Install the handlebars temporarily.
• Install the steering stem upper bracket, washer and head nut.

• Insert the protrusion " of the handlebars into the hole # of
the steering stem upper bracket. (LH and RH)
• Tighten the front fork upper clamp bolts and handlebar
clamp bolts to the specified torque. (LH and RH)
" Front fork upper clamp bolt: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
Handlebar clamp bolt: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
• Apply handle grip bond onto the left handlebar before install-
ing the handlebar grip.
• When installing the clutch master cylinder onto the left han-
dlebar, align the master cylinder holder's mating surface with
punch mark $ on the handlebar and tighten the upper clamp
bolt first as shown.
" Clutch master cylinder mounting bolt:
10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
