Configuring MSTP timers
The Secure Router 2330/4134 transmits a BPDU at every hello time. Use the procedures in
this section to configure the timer value.
Configuring hello time
The hello time is the time, in seconds, after which (if the bridge is the root bridge) all the bridges
in a bridged LAN exchange BPDUs.
A very low hello time value results in excessive traffic on the network, while a higher value
delays the detection of topology change.
