Description
This box contains the MAC address for
the Ethernet hardware installed in your
device. MVC 2050 uses the MAC
address of the Ethernet hardware as its
hardware ID. You may have to change
this value if there is more than one MAC
address, or if the device is using an
extranet client that hides the true MAC
address. For example, the Nortel
Contivity Extranet Switch uses a single
MAC address for all clients. This might
cause connection problems with your
communication server.
This changes the MAC address that
appears in the Hardware ID box. If your
device has more than one MAC
address, tap the Auto-Create button to
cycle through the set of MAC addresses
on your computer. Auto-Create also
makes up random hardware IDs in case
the Ethernet hardware addresses are
not unique to the communication server.
Shows the build number of MVC 2050
installed on your device. This value is
the version number of the application
last reported by the server.
