REAR DRIVING MECHANISM
FINAL GEAR CASE DISASSEMBLY
Loosen the cover bolts in a crisscross pattern in sev-
eral steps and remove them.
Pry the cover at the prying points using a screw-
driver and remove the case cover.
Remove the O-ring.
Remove the ring gear and shims.

BEARING INSPECTION
Turn the inner race of each bearing in the gear case BEARING
and case cover with your finger. The bearings
should turn smoothly and quietly. Also check that
the bearing outer race fits tightly in the case and
cover.
