ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH

starter torque limiter

reduction gear

Check the bearings in the alternator and rear crank-

case covers.

Turn the inner race of each bearing with your finger.

The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.

Also check that the outer race of the bearing fits

tightly in the covers.

Check the teeth of the reduction gears and torque

limiter for abnormal wear or damage.
