Ethernet 10/100 module — A board consisting of one 10/100BASE-T (PCI
Ethernet) port. Figure 8 shows the Ethernet 10/100 module connections. Install
the Ethernet 10/100 module in slot 7 or slot 8.

LAN
DS3/E3 module — A board consisting of one DS3 or E3 port. It is typically
used for terminating/accessing the public or private ATM WAN services.
However, depending on your local applications, you can also use the DS3/E3
module for taking local DS3 or E3 ATM traffic across the WAN. Install the
DS3/E3 module in slot 8 or slot 9 (one module per shelf). Figure 9 shows the
DS3/E3 module connections.
