- The extension cord is properly wired, in good electrical condition, and that the wire
size is larger than 16 AWG.

The 9160 G2 is designed for indoor use only; do not expose the 9160 G2 to rain
or snow.

Do Not Operate In An Explosive Atmosphere
Operating Psion Teklogix equipment where explosive gas is present may result in an
explosion.
Do Not Remove Covers Or Open Enclosures
To avoid injury, the equipment covers and enclosures should only be removed by quali-
fied service personnel. Do not operate the equipment without the covers and enclosures
properly installed.
Do Not Hold Antenna
To avoid discomfort due to the local heating effect of radio frequency energy, do not
touch the antenna when a 9160 G2 is transmitting.
Connection to Outdoor Antenna
The outdoor antenna shall only be installed by Psion Teklogix service professionals.
Power Over Ethernet and Outdoor Antenna Installation
Earth Grounding
Warning: An Earth Conductor Connection is essential before making an outdoor
1. A supplementary equipment earthing conductor is to be installed between the 9160 and
earth, that is, in addition to the equipment earthing conductor in the power supply cord.
2. The supplementary equipment earthing conductor may be not smaller in size than
the unearthed branch-circuit supply conductors (min. 0.75sq. mm nominal cross-
sectional area or 18AWG). The supplementary equipment earthing conductor is to
be connected to the 9160 at the terminal provided, and connected to earth in a
manner that will retain the earth connection when the 9160 is powered over Ether-
net (POE) or uses the outdoor antennas. The connection to earth of the
supplementary earthing conductor shall be in compliance with the appropriate rules

antenna connection or a POE connection.
