VIEW THE STATUS MONITOR

The status monitor starts automatically when printing starts and
displays the printer status and remaining ink ribbon level.

View Settings for the Status Monitor

Set to show or hide the status monitor. The default setting is "Use
the Status Monitor. "

Select [Start] > [Windows System Tools] >
[Control Panel] > [Hardware and Sound] >
[Devices and Printers].
For Windows 8.1:
From the desktop charm, select [Settings] > [Control Panel]
> [Hardware and Sound] > [Devices and Printers].

Right-click the printer icon,
and select [Print Settings].

Click
the [Status Monitor] tab.

Select [Use the Status Monitor] or
[Not use the Status Monitor], and then click [OK].
IMPORTANT
When printing from an application software do not change
the print settings in the [Page] and [Graphics] sheets. Any
changes to the settings will not be reflected in the printing
from an application software.
NOTE
Click [Version...] to check the printer driver version,
copyright, and other information

View Printer Status

Displays a message informing you of the

current printer status.
Displays the type of ribbon cassette.
Ribbon
There are three types: „White 85m, " „Black

150m, " and „Black 40m compatible with
plate. "
Displays the approximate remaining
amount of ink ribbon. (There may be a
Ribbon
slight difference from the actual remaining

amount.) If the remaining amount is not
read correctly, the remaining amount is
not displayed.
The printer status is displayed in four images.
Indicates that the printer is in a normal state. Indicates that the
printer is online and can print.
Indicates that the printer is offline.
Indicates that a warning has occurred. A warning message is
displayed in the [Status] field, but you can continue printing. Take
action as necessary.
Indicates that an error has occurred. An error message is
displayed in [Status], and printing cannot be performed.
