(When using a label tape or wraparound
tape) Remove the cassette while pressing the
jam release lever in the direction of the arrow, as
shown in the figure.

If the ribbon cassette has not been removed in the previous
step, remove the ribbon cassette.

After removing the print media (or cassette),
press any key.
After pressing a key, instructions will be displayed on the
screen.
Set the ribbon cassette
and close the cover.

Remove any slack
in the ribbon.
IMPORTANT
•
If the ribbon is loose, it may not operate properly.

Replace the ribbon cassette
and close the cover.
•
Insert the ribbon cassette straight in, and press firmly until it
clicks into place.
•
When the cover is closed, a confirmation screen will be
displayed.

When the print media has been removed,
use [ ] or [ ] to select "Yes" and press
the [Enter] key.
Can the print media
in the media path be
removed?
Yes
•
You will return to the character input display.
•
If you select "No" a "Feed Error" message will be displayed
again. Follow the procedure from step 1 to completely
remove the print media.

Cut out the bent or damaged portion of the
jammed print media or the printed portion of the
print media if it exists.
