Characters are squashed or

Out of ribbon
White vertical lines appear when
printing on the plate.
I cannot select a print media other
than „PP+" in the print settings.
The print media cannot be fed
properly.
The device cannot make full cuts.
The device cannot make half cuts.
Half cuts are cut too deep.
CAUSE/THINGS TO CHECK
Are you printing small or complicated
characters?
Ink may stick to the ribbon due to the top of
the print media touching the ribbon during
printing.
There is a sticky stain on the tube that
looks like the glue from plastic tape.
The print density may not be appropriate.
Some pages are set to „Expansion" in the
PP+ Print Area.
Is there any load on the tube or plate
transport?
Are the transport rollers dirty?
The tube may not be fed properly due to
deformation of the part that was pinched
by the transfer roller.
Is there glue on the media delivery port of
the label tape?
Is the operating environment appropriate?
Are the cutter and blade receiver set
correctly?
Are the depth and speed of the cut
appropriate?
Is it time to replace the cutter?
mmmmm
Adjust the print density. (P.61)
Use a dry cloth to wipe off any dirt on the print media.
Use a clean tube.
Adjust the print density to match the print result. (P.91)
If black filled symbols (
streaks (lines), reduce the density.
If lines appear on characters or symbols other
than the above, increase the density.
Set the PP+ Print Area to „Normal" or set the Cut
Length to „Automatic. " (P.40)
Place the printer and the print media on the same table
(or at the same vertical position) so that no load is
applied to the transport.
When using a tube reel, lighten the load.
Clean the transport rollers. We recommend cleaning
the rollers about once a month. (P.87)
Try setting the rewind movement to „On. " (P.200). Also,
cut off the deformed part and reload the print media.
Check to see if glue is sticking to the media delivery
port of the label tape. (P.22)
If glue is adhered to the media delivery port of the
label tape, the label tape may become stuck.
For information concerning the operating environment,
refer to „Specifications (P.114)" .
If you use a tube warmer (optional), you can print at
external temperatures as low as 5˚C (41˚F).
Refer to „Replacing the Cutter (P.90)" for information on
how to set the cutter and blade receiver correctly.
Please adjust the depth (P.65) and speed (P.66) of the
cutter.
Replace the cutter and blade receiver. (P.90)
