LEFT REVERSE I OLER GEAR REMOVAL
NOTE: The left reverse idler gear must be
removed in order to remove the mainspaft
assembly. (See figure 13-32 tor assembly
drawing.)
1. Move the mainshaft assembly forward as far as possible
and the main shaft reverse gear to the rear against case (figure
13-33).

2. Remove the retaining ring from 1.0. of the mainshaft
reverse gear (figure 13-34).

3. Engage reverse gear with the 1st-reverse sliding clutch
and move the reverse gear forward against the 1st speed gear
(figure 13-35).
