ELECTRONIC SPEEDOMETER TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE CAUSE
A. No indication
on meter.
A. 1) Magnets Off.
B. Low reading on head. B.
1) Exactly half of
correct ret"Jding and
steady.
2) Magnets very weak .
3) Magnets not close enough •
4) Bad cable. {Can be verified
by plugging in another cable
and waving magnet past
pickup).
5) Bad head. {Can be verified by
plugging replacement head
into installation cable and
driving vehicle. Indication on
new head determines cable
O.K. but old head not.
1) One magnet off.

SOLUTION
A. 1) Install magnets.
2) lnstal I new magnets.
3) Reposition magnets.
4) Replace cable.
5) Replace head.

1) Replace magnet.

3) {a) Replace head &
re tum it to factory.
