4. Connect the 780B to your host PC via an RS-232 cable.
You will have to use a standard RS-232 cable.

12.4 Procedures for Entering Commands

Use the following procedure to connect to the 780B through the USB port.
1. Open up a terminal program such as Hyperterm on your Windows PC. Configure the terminal session with
the following settings:
Bits per second = 2400, 4800 or 9600
Data bits = 8
Parity = none
Stop bits = 1
Flow control = Hardware
2. Press the Return key on your PC and you should receive the R:\> prompt.
Now you are ready to enter commands.
3. Use the following tables as a guideline for enter commands.
Note: Changes you make through the command line will not be reflected on the 780B touch panel. For
example if you make a selection through the touch panel for the signal type, format and pattern and then
override these changes through the command line, the 780B touch screen will still show the selections you
made through the touch screen but the interface, format and pattern selections you made through the
command line will be active.
Table 11-1 below provides the list of commands supported or testing HDMI sink devices:
Note: The commands are not case sensitive.
