7.3 Image Annotation

Entering Annotation Mode

An Fetal Anatomy item is linked with an SonoLyst criteria, then this item has a
badge:
A linked criteria is detected by the system, then this Fetal Anatomy item is set to the
default IR value (e.g. visulaized).
IR Filter - On: Only the items which are matching to the depending image are
dispalyed.
IR Filter - Off: All Scan Assistant items are displayed.
This function enables text writing onto the ultrasound image using the keyboard in freeze
mode or in scan mode. Specific functions can be programmed in the System Setup.

By pressing folder the desired clinical application (i.e., Obstetrics, Gynecology,...) can be
selected. Two indendent text layers A and B are available to annotate the ultrasound image.
The Text layers are not dependent on display format and/or scanning modes.

Annotation mode is activated on the screen.

The 'last used' cursor position can be remembered to be used again when annotation
mode is re-entered, or it can be relocated to the 'Home position'. Home position can be
configured per application in the system setup under general Settings- Annotation.

The button size limits the visible characters of a longer word, so only those characters
are shown which fit to the size of the button beginning from the first character.
4.
Virtual keyboard is active when the text menu is displayed.
