6.3.6. Communications Menu (COMM)

The M300E comes with 2 serial communications ports located on the rear panel.
The serial communication ports can be configured to use several different
communications protocols. By default the COM1 port is setup to use RS-232 and
COM2 port is configured to be a half-duplex, RS-485 port but can be configured to
be either a second RS-232 or, with the optional Ethernet interface, a 10BaseT
connection.
See Section 6.8 for more information on setting up these COM Ports.

The M300E has several user adjustable software variables.

Description
Internal Data Acquisition System holdoff timer:
No data is stored in the iDAS channels during situations
when the software considers the data to be questionable
such as during warm up of just after the instrument
returns from one of its Calibration mode to SAMPLE Mode
When ON, this function causes the analyzer to
automatically adjust the SLOPE and OFFSET of its
measurement calculation as the last step when
performing an AutoCal (see Section 7.4).
When DYN_ZERO is turned OFF, this data must be
updated manually.

variation in the internal Time of Day clock of each
analyzer.
