Operating Instructions
If the instrument includes one of the available Zero/Span Valve options the Sample
Mode display will also include CALZ and CALS keys. Pressing either of these keys
also put the instrument into Cal Mode. The CALZ key is used to initiate a
calibration of the analyzer's Zero Point. The CALS key is used to calibrate the Span
point of the analyzer's current measurement range. It is recommended that this
Span calibration be performed at 80% of full scale of the analyzer's Measurement
Range.

6.3. Set-Up Mode
The SETUP Mode contains a variety of procedures and task that are used to
configure the analyzer's various hardware and software features, and to read data
from the internal data acquisition system (iDAS).
Any changes made to a variable during one of the following procedures is not
acknowledged by the instrument until the ENTR Key is pressed
If the EXIT key is pressed before the ENTR key, the analyzer will beep alerting the user
that the newly entered value has been lost.
6.3.1. RNGE Menu
This menu contains instructions for configuring the analyzer's Analog Output data
channels. For detailed information about this topic see Sections 6.4 and 6.5 of this
manual.
6.3.2. Automatic Calibration (AutoCal)
The AutoCal feature allows the M300E to automatically operate any of the
Zero/Span Valve options. Information on setting up AutoCal is in Section 7.4.
6.3.3. Password Enable / Security Mode (PASS)
The M300E provides password protection of the calibration and setup functions to
prevent incorrect adjustments. When the passwords have been enabled, the
system will prompt the user anytime a function is requested requiring password
access.
