Operating Instructions
6.4.2. A1 & A2 Measurement Range Modes
The first step in configuring the A1 and A2 outputs is to choose a Measurement
Range mode. There are three analog output range modes to choose from:
1.
Single range mode sets a single maximum range for the analog output. If
Single range is selected both outputs are slaved together and will represent
the same measurement span (e.g. 0-50 ppm), however their electronic signal
levels may be configured for different ranges (e.g. 0-10 VDC vs. 0-.1 VDC –
See Section 6.5).
2.
Dual range allows the A1 and A2 outputs to be configured for separate and
independent units of measure and measurement spans as well as separate
electronic signal levels.
3.
Auto range mode gives the analyzer the ability to automatically switch the
A1 and A2 analog outputs between two ranges (low and high) dynamically as
the concentration value fluctuates.
The TEST Functions displayed on the front panel during SAMPLE mode will report
which of these two ranges is currently active and will also dynamically switch as
required.
Range status is also output via the External Digital I/O Status Bits (see
Section 6.7.1).
Only one of the Range Modes described above may be active at any time.
