6.3.6. Communications Menu (COMM)

The M400E comes with 2 serial communications ports located on the rear panel.
The serial communication ports can be configured to use several different
communications protocols. By default the COM1 port is setup to use RS-232 and
COM2 port is configured to be a half-duplex, RS-485 port.
See Section 6.9 for more information on setting up the analyzer's COM Ports.

6.3.7. M400E Internal Variables

The M400E has several user adjustable software variables that can be used to
manually set certain operational parameters normally automatically set by the
instruments firmware. These are:

Changes the Internal Data Acquisition System (iDAS)
Holdoff timer:
No data is stored in the iDAS channels during
situations when the software considers the data to be
questionable such as during warm up of just after the
instrument returns from one of its Calibration mode to
SAMPLE Mode.
Allows adjustment of the temperature set point for the
Photometer UV Lamp in the Optical Bench.

instructed to by T-API Customer Service Personnel.
