Releasing a Hardware Error of the Drive

This section explains how to perform a recovery operation to release hardware errors that occur in drives.
• During recovery of a drive error, only that drive remains off-line. The backup software cannot access the
drive until the recovery operation is complete.
• If recovery of a drive error is attempted while the backup software is accessing the library, a message is
displayed stating that the library is busy. Retry the recovery when the library is no longer busy.
If a hardware error of the drive occurs, "error code" is displayed in the Status window.
Procedure

Click the [Drive Reset] button displayed under [Operation]. The following window is
displayed.
