Cleaning the Drive Manually
The library has a special cell to store a cleaning cartridge in each drive. This cleaning cartridge can be used to
clean the drive manually.

Cleaning cannot be carried out if the cleaning cell of the drive to be cleaned contains no cleaning
cartridge, the maximum usage count of all contained cleaning cartridges has been reached, or all of
them are in error. In these cases, insert a new cleaning cartridge or replace failed cartridges from the
operator panel (refer to

The drive is offline while cleaning. The drive goes online automatically after cleaning is completed.
This section explains how to manually clean drives.
Procedure

Click the [Clean] button displayed under [Operation] to display the following window.
