2.14 Releasing Drive Hardware Errors
If a hardware error occurs in the drive, the error is indicated in the Drive Status field of the Status menu. To
recover the drive from the hardware error, use the Status menu to perform recovery operation.
• The library remains off-line during library error recovery. The backup software cannot access the drives
until the recovery operation is complete.
• If you perform recovery operation while the library is being used by the backup software, a message
indicating that the library is online appears. Retry recovery operation while the library is not being used.
