A confirmation window is displayed.

A message indicating that the process is in progress is displayed. The selected CAS will open
at the completion of the display.

Loading Tape Cartridges
Load tape cartridges from a CAS into a drive.
WARNING
•
If loading is attempted while the backup software is accessing the library, a message is displayed stating
that the library is busy. Retry loading when the library is no longer busy.

To unload a tape cartridge, eject it manually. For information on manually ejecting tape cartridges, refer
to
"2.11 Ejecting Tape Cartridges" (page 57)

CAS status
Status
The magazine is loaded and the CAS door closed.
No magazine is loaded and the CAS door closed.
The CAS door is faulty.
The CAS door could not be opened, but opening can be
retried.
The CAS door is already open.
The CAS cell inventory operation is in progress.
The CAS cell tape cartridge is being accessed.
The CAS is reserved by the host.

Data loss
A drive that is being used in a load operation can no longer be accessed by the
backup software. (The drive becomes offline, with "Ready/Offline" displayed in the
Status menu as Drive Status.) Before loading a drive, be sure that the backup
software is not running for that drive.
