2.15 Inventory

Procedure

Click the [Drive Reset] button from the Operation menu.

A confirmation window is displayed.
Click the [OK] button if it is OK to proceed.

A message indicating that the process is in progress is displayed and an attempt is made to
release all errors.

Recovery is complete when an end message is displayed.
2.15 Inventory
The cartridge management information for the user cell and CAS cell is updated.
• The library goes off-line while inventory is being taken.
• Automatic inventory is not performed if the auto-inventory function is disabled when the library is turned
on.
If you replace or change the position of a tape cartridge, execute the Inventory operation to take
inventory and update the library's tape cartridge management information.
• If an inventory operation is attempted while the backup software is accessing the library, a message is
displayed stating that the library is busy. Retry the inventory operation when the library is no longer
busy.
