3.12 Operating the Library

Inventory

The tape cartridge management information for the user cell and CAS cell is updated.
• The library goes off-line while inventory is being taken.
• Automatic inventory is not performed if the auto-inventory function is disabled when the library is turned
on. If you replace or change the position of a tape cartridge, execute the Inventory operation from the
operator panel to take inventory and update the library's cartridge management information.
• If an inventory operation is attempted while the backup software is accessing the library, a message is
displayed stating that the library is busy. Retry the inventory operation when the library is no longer
busy.
Procedure

Click the [Inventory] button displayed under [Operation]. The following window is
displayed.
