Instrument installation involves the following activities:
Unpacking the instrument
Placing the instrument on the lab bench
Unpacking the accessories
Installing the Abbott VP 2000 Processor
Installing the PC, Printer, and Charcoal Filter System
Installing the UPS
Installation the System Software
Conduct System QC
1. Remove the bands, cardboard top, and box from around
the instrument.
2. Open the two boxes that are enclosed and unwrap the
front and back transparent hoods; set them aside to
attache to the unit later.
3. Dismantle the rest of the shipping crate.
Place the instrument at the desired (pre-determined) location.
CAUTION: Two people will be required to lift and
move the Abbott VP 2000 Processor to the desired
location.
Protect from drafts and direct sunlight.
Provide enough room for the Abbott VP 2000 Processor
and PC.
Ensure that the transparent safety hoods on each side of
the Abbott VP 2000 Processor can be easily opened
without obstruction.
Bench-top or table-top should be capable of supporting
the unit's 57.6 kg (127 lbs) weight for the 117 VAC model
or 63.5 kg (140 lbs) weight for the 100 VAC and 230 VAC
models as well as that of the PC.
