Maintenance and Diagnostic Procedures

13. Manually program the set-point temperature for basins 1
o
and 2 to 75
C and basin 3 to 37
heating. All heated basins should reach their set-point
temperature within one (1) hour of the start of heating.
14. Watch the indicated temperatures for each basin as they
heat. The temperatures should change smoothly and
gradually approach their set-points. During the heating,
note the LEDs on the heater door. Each one should flash
while the basin is heating and continue flashing until the
indicated basin is within
basin. If a heating indicator LED fails to flash during
heating or if erratic temperature changes are observed,
stop the heating, replace the sensor bar and repeat the test.
15. When all basins have reached their set-point temperature,
open the transparent safety hoods. Carefully remove the
basin lids.
CAUTION: Hot Surface. The lids may be hot to the
touch.
16. Measure the temperature of each basin as in step 11 using
caution as each basin now contains hot fluid. Note any
basin which differs by more than
indicated temperature and the temperature measured by
the thermocouple probe.
17. Close the transparent safety hoods and continue to
observe the basin indicated temperatures. Note any basin
that fails to stay within
basin over the next 30 minutes.
18. Replace any heater module that fails to achieve its
set-point temperature within one (1) hour and retest the
heater unit.
19. Replace the sensor bar when any sensor exceeds the
limit at either low or high temperature or when the LED
indicator fails to flash during heating.
