Fluid Check

Abbott VP 2000™ Processor Service Manual

1. Attach a piece of 1/2" tubing to the "DRIAN" line of the
UUT and hang the hose into a bucket. Attach the fluid in
hose to the "FLUID IN" tube on the on the UUT and
clamp. Attach other end to a water source. Turn ON water
to the faucet. Check for leaks inside the UUT and at the
line connections. Do no continue if leaks are present.
2. Plug UUT into an appropriate power source. Place the UUT
power switch in the ON position.
3. Allow the arm to return to position one (1). Press the
"RIGHT ARROW" key, the arm will move to position two
(2). Press the "FLOW" button and then the "DOWN
ARROW" key. When the arm reaches the bottom, observe
the time it takes to fill the tank to the top of the overflow
tube. The time is displayed on the UUT display panel.
Verify that the time is between 30/40 seconds. Check for
leaks inside the unit.
4. If the tank does not fill in the specified time, re-adjust the
water flow as follows:
a. Press the "FLOW" and "UP ARROW" keys to turn the
water OFF and to raise the Robotic Arm.
b. Remove the base shroud cover.
c. Press the "DOWN ARROW" key to lower the Robotic
Arm.
d. Disengage the yellow lock ring on the regulator by
pulling upward.
e. Remove the drain tube and empty the rinse tank.
f. Turn the regulator knob clockwise to increase or
counter-clockwise to decrease the water flow.
g. Press the "FLOW" key to stop water flow and drain
the rinse tank.
h. Install drain tube and re-check the fill time. Repeat
steps d thru h until correct fill time has been obtained.
i. Press the "UP ARROW" key to raise the Robotic Arm
and replace the base shroud cover.
