5. Remove the CPU from its box and place it in the desired
location by following the guidelines as described
previously.
6. Plug the power cord into port A.
7. Connect the long RS232 data cable between serial data
port B on the back of the PC and data port C ("Computer
Interface") on the right side of the Abbott VP 2000
Processor.
8. Connect the short RS232 data cable between data ports D
("Stainer Interface") and E on the back of the Abbott VP
2000 Processor.
9. Connect the PC power cord into a grounded outlet with
appropriate voltage.
10. Power ON the PC.
NOTE: Any time you disconnect to reconnect the
RS232 data cable, be sure the two (2) units are
powered OFF.
1. Attach the DB9 male end of the included serial cable to the
serial port on the CPU.
2. Attach the DB9 female end of this serial cable to the port
on the Abbott VP 2000 Processor labeled "To Computer."
1. Remove the UPS and attach to the nearest electrical outlet.
2. Attach the monitor and PC to the battery backup outlets
on the UPS.
3. Attach the Abbott VP 2000 Processor power cord to the
surge protection outlet on the UPS.
4. Follow the instructions for the UPS to ensure that it is
turned ON.
