Abbott VP 2000™ Processor Service Manual
30-608308/R1—September 2008
Purpose of the Test
The Built in Test helps check the photo sensors used to
monitor the position of the Robotic Arm.
The movement left and right checks the X-Motor
operation.
The movement up and down checks the Y-Motor
operation.
The movement front to back checks the Z-Motor
operation.
Use the companion PC to help troubleshoot an Abbott VP
2000 Processor.
The proprietary software provided on the PC is helpful in
evaluating the operation of the motors, sensors, drying station
and heated basin temperature status.
To execute the internal test, make sure the interlock switches
are activated and turn the system ON.
1. Select "shortcut to VP 2000" and sign in.
2. Select "Maintain Menu" and click on "Test".
The Robotic Arm will go to the Drying Station, go down,
return up and then move to the right (X-direction)
pausing nine (9) times. After the last pause in the front,
the Robotic Arm will rotate to the back of the unit, pause
and then move left (X-direction) to basin 15, pausing at
each basin. After the pause at basin 15 it will move to the
left to basin 11, without pausing, rotate to the front and
go directly to the Drying Station, starting the sequence
over again.
