Shutting Down the System

To shut down the system:
1.
Shut down the software by selecting System Shutdown from the
Start menu in the Windows NT task bar, or if you are not logged
in, by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete and clicking the Shut Down...
button.
A dialog box appears.

Select "Shutdown the computer?" and click Yes.
The software automatically shuts down and a status window
appears telling you it's okay to turn off the power.
3.
If it's not already open, open the sliding front panel of the system
by pressing lightly on the lower half of the panel (Figure 1-8).
The panel automatically slides down into the cover to expose the
removable media drives and the power and reset buttons.
4.
Press the power button (Figure 1-11). The system turns off.
5.
Press the power buttons on the front of the monitor and on any
external devices to turn them off.
