4.2.3 Printer Mechanism Removal

1. Remove the upper housing. (See section 4.2.1.)
2. Remove the front housing. (See section 4.2.2.)
3. Insert a Phillips screwdriver into two notches in the rear frame and
remove 2 screws (CBP, 4×12) securing the printer mechanism to the
lower housing. (See Figure 4-10.)

4. From the front of the printer, remove 2 screws (CBP, 4×12) securing
the printer mechanism to the lower housing. (Note that the right screw
is also securing the reinforcing frame.)
WARNING
You will need two people to lift the printer
mechanism onto the lower housing during
assembly. Thread the 4 waste ink tubes from
the right and left printheads through the holes
in the waste ink absorber to avoid leaks.
Rear Frame

REMINDER
When reassembling the printer mechanism,
align the 2 notches on the bottom of the printer
mechanism with the 2 dimples on the lower
housing.
5. Lift up the printer mechanism and remove it from the lower housing.
