5.2 ADJUSTMENTS

Table 5-1. Required Adjustments
If you:
Replace the printhead. 1. Ink charge flag reset
2. Printhead ID adjustment
3. Printhead angle adjustment
4. Printhead height adjustment
5. Printhead gap adjustment
6. Bi-D adjustment
Replace the driver 1. Reenter the printer ID
board. 2. Printhead ID adjustment
3. Printhead gap adjustment
4. Bi-D adjustment
Replace the main Upload firmware
board.
Replace the carriage Parallelism adjustment
guide.
Clean the printhead. 1. Head cleaning
2. Ink charge flag reset
Replace the waste ink Clear waste ink pad counter*
pad.
Replace the upper Upper surface sensor positioning
surface sensor. adjustment
Replace the carriage 1. Printhead gap adjustment
motor. 2. Bi-D adjustment
* You can also perform this operation from the control panel.
Make these Adjustments:
CAUTION
Be sure to replace the waste ink pad before you
clear the waste ink pad counter. Failure to do so
may cause ink to leak from the lower case.
