7. Place gear (10) on its shaft, and secure it with an e-ring. (See
Figure 4-115.)
8. Place combination gear (24, 24) on its shaft. Make sure the
combination gear is engaged with the teeth of gear (11) and gear
(10), then secure them with an e-ring. Insert a positioning pin
through combination gear (24, 24) and the corresponding hole in
the ASF frame. (See Figure 4-117.)

40. After aligning the ASF, the paper feed roller should face up. If it
faces down, remove gear (24) and combination gear (24, 24),
then align the ASF again so that the roller faces up.

41. Rotate the paper feed roller until it appears as shown in Figure
4-118. This allows the ASF to be installed easily.

42. Put the geared end of the ASF through the corresponding hole in
the frame, then do the same for the other end.
