7. Move the carriage to the center and remove 1 screw (CBP, 3x8)
securing the rear carriage cover. Then remove the rear carriage cover.
(See Figure 4-18.)

8. Release 4 hooks on the sides of the front carriage cover, then remove
the front carriage cover. Be careful not to disconnect any hoses. (See
Figure 4-19.)

9. Remove the four FFCs connected to the printheads.
10. Remove 6 dampers from the printheads.

REMINDER
The 6 dampers are attached to the printheads in
this order (from left to right): Black, Cyan,
Magenta, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Yellow.
CAUTION
The printhead is not insulated against static
electricity. Wear rubber gloves when working
near them.
11. Remove 2 screws (CBB, 2.5×6) with plain washers (3.4×1.0×8.2×2)
securing the printheads to the carriage.
