25. Remove 2 screws (CBS, 3×6) from the lifter gear train cover, then
remove the lifter gear train cover. (See Figure 4-83.)
26. Disconnect the torsion spring (3.92) connected to the ASF stopper
lever. (See Figure 4-84.)

27. Remove the e-ring from the ASF stopper lever, then remove the ASF
stopper lever. (See Figure 4-84.)
28. Remove combination gear (30, 30), then remove the hopper lever.
29. Remove combination gear (13.8, 17.4). (See Figure 4-84.)
30. Remove gear (12.8). (See Figure 4-84.)

REMINDER
Gear (12.8) is precisely aligned with the frame
gear shown in Figure 4-85. To install, push the
frame gear to the side until you can place gear
(12.8) onto its shaft and engage it with the frame
gear.
