4.4.2 Gear Train Assembly

Gear train assembly requires precise alignment of several gears. When
assembling the gear train, do not try to follow the disassembly procedure
in reverse; follow the steps in this section. This assembly procedure
assumes the final step in the gear train disassembly procedure was
completed.
1. Place the hopper lever on its shaft, then place two black washers and
combination gear (30, 30) on the same shaft.


REMINDER
When installing combination gear (30, 30), make
sure the side with large teeth faces out. See
Figure 4-87.

2. Place gear (12.8) on the shaft. This gear is precisely aligned with the
frame gear shown in Figure 4-88. To install, push the frame gear to the
side until you can place gear (12.8) onto its shaft and engage it with
the frame gear.
