5.5 Precharge Kit

The pre-charge kit (mandatory) is not included in the AFE200 order code and must
be ordered separately. The purpose of the pre-charge circuit is to charge the volt-
age in the DC section with a specific charging time that depends on the DC Link
capacitance value and pre-charge resistors. AFE200 units must not be connected
to mains without pre-charging.
Parallel connection
Only the AFE200 master have its own pre-charge circuit.

The dissipated power from Kit is only temporarily and only during the pre-charge phase; therefore, it
does not generate a constant temperature increase.
