RIGOL
Description 2
Queries the average value, current value, standard deviation, maximum value, or minimum value of the
area measurement results when the area measurement function of the specified source channel and the
statistic function of the measurement results are enabled. The default unit is volt-second.
Parameter
Name
Type
<chan>
Discrete
Remarks
Area: The horizontal axis denotes time and the vertical axis denotes waveform amplitude. The
oscilloscope calculates the area (namely the integral of the time and amplitude) of the waveform
within the current measurement range (refer to the :MEASure:AREA command).
Before making measurements, turn on the channels to be measured.
When the math operation type is FFT (refer to the :CALCulate:MODE command), <chan> cannot be
set to "MATH".
When [<chan>] is omitted, the command, by default, applies to the currently set measurement source
(refer to the :MEASure:SOURce command).
Return Format
The query returns the average value, current value, standard deviation, maximum value, or minimum value
in scientific notation. When the measurement results are invalid, the query returns 9.9e37.

:MEASure:MPARea

Syntax 1
:MEASure:MPARea [<chan>]
Description 1
Measures the period area of the specified source channel.
Syntax 2
:MEASure:MPARea? [<chan>]
Description 2
Measures and queries the period area of the specified source channel. The default unit is volt-second.
Parameter

Type
<chan>
Discrete
Remarks
Period Area: The horizontal axis denotes time and the vertical axis denotes waveform amplitude. The
oscilloscope calculates the area (namely the integral of the time and amplitude) of a single period of
waveform within the current measurement range (refer to the :MEASure:AREA command).
The query returns the measurement results in scientific notation. When the measurement results are
invalid, the query returns 9.9e37.
