Requirements for using Mercedes PRO con‐
nect services in the vehicle:
you have access to a GSM network

the ignition must be switched on so that vehi‐

cle data can be transferred automatically

After confirmation, the multimedia system
sends the required vehicle data.
The data transfer is shown in the multimedia
system display. Then, you can select a service
and be connected to a specialist at the
Mercedes-Benz Customer Centre.

A call to the Mercedes-Benz Customer Centre

the overhead control panel.
In the event of a breakdown, you will get support:
A qualified Mercedes-Benz technician carries

out repairs on site and/or the vehicle will be
towed to the nearest Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre.

Information on Mercedes PRO connect acci‐
dent management
The Mercedes PRO connect accident manage‐
ment is an extension of the Mercedes-Benz emer‐
gency call system (
page 248).
An emergency call is made to the Mercedes-Benz
emergency call centre after an accident:
a voice connection is made to a contact per‐

son at the Mercedes-Benz emergency call
centre
if necessary, the contact person at the
R
Mercedes-Benz emergency call centre for‐
wards the call to Mercedes PRO connect acci‐
dent management
if necessary, the vehicle will be towed to a
R
Mercedes-Benz service centre
If the vehicle detects a minor accident, a mes‐
sage appears in the multimedia system.
The message is confirmed in the multimedia sys‐
tem:
a voice connection is made to a contact per‐

son at Mercedes PRO connect accident man‐
agement.
