is a liquid urea solution used for exhaust
gas aftertreatment of diesel engines. In order for
the exhaust gas aftertreatment to function prop‐

erly, only use AdBlue
in accordance with
ISO 22241.

freezes at a temperature of approx‐
imately -11 °C . The vehicle is equipped with

an AdBlue
preheating system at the factory.
This means that winter operation is also
ensured for temperatures below -11 °C. If
®
you top up AdBlue
®
-11 °C, the AdBlue
cluster may not be displayed correctly. If the
®
AdBlue
is frozen, drive for at least
20 minutes and then park the vehicle for a
minimum of 30 seconds, so that the level is
correctly displayed. In extreme winter condi‐
tions, the time needed to detect the top-up
amount may be considerably longer. Park the
vehicle in a warm garage to speed up this
process.
