AdBlue is a liquid urea solution used for exhaust
gas aftertreatment of diesel engines. In order for
the exhaust gas aftertreatment to function prop‐
®
erly, only use AdBlue in accordance with
ISO 22241.

AdBlue freezes at a temperature of approx‐
imately -11 °C . The vehicle is equipped with
®
an AdBlue preheating system at the factory.
This means that winter operation is also
ensured for temperatures below -11 °C. If
®
you top up AdBlue
®
-11 °C, the AdBlue
cluster may not be displayed correctly. If the
®
AdBlue is frozen, drive for at least
20 minutes and then park the vehicle for a
minimum of 30 seconds, so that the level is
correctly displayed. In extreme winter condi‐
tions, the time needed to detect the top-up
amount may be considerably longer. Park the
vehicle in a warm garage to speed up this
process.
