Lane recommendations overview
This display appears for multi-lane roads.
The multimedia system can show lane recom‐
mendations if the digital map contains the rele‐
vant data.

Explanation of the displayed lanes:
Lane not recommended
R
In this lane, you will not be able to complete
the next change of direction without changing
lane.
Possible lane 2
R
In this lane, you will only be able to complete
the next change of direction.
Recommended lane
R
In this lane, you will be able to complete both
the next change of direction and the one after
that.
During the change of direction, new lanes may be
added.
% Lane recommendations can also be shown in
the Instrument Display.

Using motorway information

MBUX multimedia system
When driving on the motorway, upcoming sec‐
tions of motorway 1 and available service facili‐
ties 2 are shown. These include car parks,
service stations and motorway exits, for example.
To open the display: select r.

The entries are sorted according to increasing
distance from the current vehicle position.
Select an entry.

Select a service facility from the list.

The details are displayed. The map shows the
position and the driving time to this location.
The following functions can be used in the
detailed display, for example:
Search for a POI in the vicinity.

Save the destination.

Place a call at the destination.

Calculate the route (

Destination reached
Once the destination is reached, you will see the
Í chequered flag. Route guidance is finished.
When an intermediate destination has been
reached, you will see the intermediate destination
flag with the number of your Î intermediate
destination. After this, route guidance is contin‐
ued.
Switching navigation announcements on/off
To switch off: during a navigation announce‐

ment, press the volume control on the steer‐
ing wheel or the 8/Ü button on the
